Snapshots of the fairground: SciFair is looking for images from the past

What did the funfair look like 100 years ago?

Search your attic and archives for old photos or postcards of the fairground and help explore what role the fair played in the year 1900. As researchers, we are specifically looking for images from the period 1850-1914. Please use the form below to send us your photos. Your participation is greatly appreciated!

The Science at the Fair project explores the role of the fairground in the period from 1850 to 1914. During our research, the images we most often find from that time are leaflets and posters. Photographs and postcards from private collections are harder to find. Those original images can provide us a much-needed glimpse of what the funfair truly looked like in the past.
